Sofia Vergara has been named the highest paid TV actress by Forbes
magazine. The curvaceous Columbian born star earned $19 million in the
last 12 months alone to unseat reality TV star Kim Kardashian.
Vergara stars as ‘Gloria’ in the Emmy winning comedy ‘Modern Family’.
According to Forbes, Vergara appeals to both Hispanic and American viewers hence her popurality. Also contributing to her gross earnings is her Kmart clothing line, endorsements deals for Pepsi and Cover Girl and a host of Spanish advertisement deals which include Comcast, Burger King and State Farm. She has also guest starred in films like ‘The Smurfs’ and ‘New Years Eve’.
Former holder of that position Kim Kardashian followed closely behind, grossing $18 million mainly from her reality series ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’, her clothing line and fragrance.
In third place was Eva Longoria with earnings estimated at $15 million. Bethenny Frankel was placed fourth while Tina Fey and Khloe Kardashian Odom tied at fifth place.
